New Baden, Illinois - Patricia Mae Roeper, nee Chitty, age 78, formerly of Cahokia, Ill., born May 2, 1945 in East St. Louis, Ill., passed away Monday, August 28, 2023 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, O'Fallon, Ill.
Pat worked for 26 years as a school cook in Cahokia School District 187. She loved to go shopping and enjoyed having dinner with her family. Pat was a beloved "MaMa" to her grandkids, and her favorite times were attending their school activities or cheering them on in their sporting events.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert J. Roeper in 2013, her sister Barbara Ann Phillips, father Arnold Chitty, and her grandparents who were instrumental in her upbringing, Steve and Viola Chitty.
Surviving are her children Kenneth Roeper of Carlyle, Ill., Angela (Joseph) Voyles of Aliso Viejo, Calif., and Robin (John) Drolet of O'Fallon, Ill., grandchildren, Tiffany, Savannah, and Grant Roeper, Joey and Hunter Voyles, Logan and Baylee Drolet; great-grandchildren Alexia, Brennan, Ja'Niya, and Wrenleigh; her niece Belinda (Kenny) Brown, and her beloved four-legged companion Miley.

Visitation: 4- 8 pm, Monday, September 4, 2023 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home, O'Fallon, and after 9 am, Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at the funeral home.
Funeral: 10 am, Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Ill.
