Richard C. Roeper, 76, of Port Byron passed away Sunday, May 4, 2025 at Hammond Henry Hospital in Geneseo.
Funeral services will be 2pm Thursday at Schroder Mortuary in Silvis with visitation 1 hour prior to service time. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery, Moline. Memorials may be made to Quad Cities Animal Welfare Center.
Richard was born June 29, 1948 in Des Moines, IA the son of Benny and Betty Bell. He married the love of his life Debra Campbell June 23, 1973 in East Moline. Richard retired from GA Millard after 30 years. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, cars, and animals. He loved watching old action movies and was the kindest, sweetest, most loving brother.
Survivors include his mother Betty Bell; wife of 51 years Debra Roeper and his fur baby Jack; siblings Marcy (Rick) Anderson, Sandra (Brad) Helgason, Brenda (Craig) Kauzlarich, Kim (Mark) Sikorski, Karla (Bruce) Johnston, and Karen (Todd) VanOpdorp and several nieces and nephews.
Richard was preceded in death by his grandparents, father, nephew Jeremy Franks, and his fur baby Lucy.
