SCHADL, Patricia Marie

Patricia Marie Schadl, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, cousin, teacher, and friend to many, passed away on February 5, 2025 in Atlanta.

Pat was born in Memphis, on February 16, 1947. She was the oldest of three children. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Wade Franks and Edwina Franks; and a sister, Edwina Lynn Franks, all of Memphis.

She attended Booker T. Washinton High School in Memphis, and Lane College in Jackson, TN. While in college, she met Chuck Schadl, and they married in Memphis. They relocated and made Atlanta their home. Pat became an active member of Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church where she became a teacher in the parish school. She and her husband raised three boys. She served as a guiding light for her own children and influenced the lives of hundreds of other children, including her students and, as a scout leader, many Girl Scouts. In all, Pat will be remembered as a loving mother, a devoted wife, friend, volunteer, and a positive influence to many.

Pat leaves, to cherish her precious memory, her husband, John (Chuck) Schadl of Atlanta; her three sons, John Scott Schadl, Jr. of Woodstock, GA, Mark (Wanda) Schadl of St. Augustine, FL, and Joshua Schadl of Fort Collins, CO; her brother, Robert Franks of Memphis; seven grandchildren Chelsea (Charlie) Kilborn of Lithia Springs, GA, Jeremy Schadl of Weston, WI, Jazmin Schadl of Austell, GA, Erin Grant of St. Augustine, Cameron Schadl of Orlando, FL, and JJ Feuerstein and Aliyana Feuerstein of Woodstock; great-granddaughter, Braelynn Grant of St. Augustine; and sister-in-law, Susan Walker of Reno, NV; plus a host of cousins, a nephew, friends, and all members of her church family. Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, February 11, 2025, 11:00 AM, at Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 2560 Tilson Road, Decatur, GA 30032. Grissom-Clark F.H.
