PATRICIA "PATTY" ANN SCHAEFF, age 57, of Piqua, OH passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones at 10:58 PM on Friday, July 16, 2021 at Ohio's Hospice of Miami Valley – Inpatient Unit, Troy, OH. Patty was born in Piqua, OH on August 6, 1963 to the late Charles and Easter (Wright) Cantrell. She married Mark A. Schaeff on April 3, 1982 and he survives.
Patty is also survived by one son: Travis Schaeff, Piqua, OH; three sisters: Jerry Cotrell, Troy, OH; Wanda Birch, Alcony, OH; and Sandy Huber, Troy, OH; and two grandchildren: Braxton Schaeff and Robert Musselwhite.
Patty worked at Piqua Manor for several years. She enjoyed rescuing animals and was an animal activist for many years. She especially loved her two dogs: Zoey & Tia. Patty liked to cook and bake and her grandchildren were her life. She was the light at every gathering she attended and she will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 1:30 PM on Friday, July 30, 2021 at Forest Hill Cemetery, Piqua, with Pastor Scott Stremmel officiating. Mrs. Schaeff's services are in care of Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home, Piqua.
Memorial contributions may be made to His Hands Extended Sanctuary, 1560 Dalton Road, Saint Paris, OH 43072.
