With deep love and cherished memories, we celebrate the life of Patricia (Trish) Schell, lovingly known as Aunt Pat, who passed away peacefully on August 24, 2025, surrounded by her family and dearest friends.

Born on Christmas Day, 1942, in Johnson City, Tennessee, Patricia was a true gift to everyone who had the joy of knowing her. The daughter of William Clarence and Ethel Mae Hogston Pickering, she grew up in a large, loving family, and carried that spirit of warmth and connection throughout her life.

On January 25, 1997, she married the love of her life and soulmate, David Schell. Their union was one of true companionship, respect, laughter, and unwavering support. David survives her and holds dear the many beautiful years they shared together.

Patricia is also survived by her devoted brother Tom Pickering and his wife Kathy, and her beloved sister Janice Meredith and her husband Richard. She was a proud and loving stepmother and grandmother to Scott, Bradley, Kelly, Cooper, and David, and took immense pride in their lives and their children's lives.

Though she had no biological children of her own, Aunt Pat was a mother in every sense of the word to her 12 nieces and nephews, whom she loved deeply and considered her to be own: Linda, Bob, Angel, Chris, Michelle, Holly, Ritchie, Jennifer, Beth, Amy, Emily, and Drew. Each of them carries her legacy forward in countless ways-through their compassion, strength, and the values she helped instill. She was also survived by many great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, cherished sisters Carolyn and Helen, and her brothers Doug, Joe, and Bud-each one now welcoming her home with open arms.

Throughout her life, Patricia brought wisdom, dedication, and heart to every job she held. She contributed to organizations such as Caterpillar, Frontier Airlines, IBM, Trish Ventures and later became a partner in Equity Development. No matter the role, her commitment, intelligence, and integrity made a lasting impact.

More than her work, it was Patricia's love, humor, and generous spirit that left the deepest impression. She had a talent for making everyone feel special and seen. She was a storyteller, a listener, a caretaker, and a pillar of strength. Her home and heart were always open, and her life was a testament to the power of kindness, loyalty, and unconditional love.

Aunt Pat's legacy is not only in the family she leaves behind, but in the countless lives she touched with her presence. She taught us to love deeply, laugh often, and live generously. She will be missed every day but never forgotten.
