Patricia J. Sedlacek

Patricia J. "Pat" Sedlacek, age 86, of Palos Park, Illinois passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, August 27, 2023. Pat was wife of the late Edward for 23 yrs. She is survived by her son, Scott (Donna) Sedlacek and daughter, Christina (Nick) Pullia; grandchildren, Amanda, Ryan (Liz), Kaitlyn and Connor Sedlacek, as well as Cassandra (Carl) Shingler, and Gena Pullia (Cory Savage). Patricia was preceded in death by her friend and companion of 30 years, Ben Luciani and sister, Judy (Len) Billa.
Patricia was a two-time breast cancer survivor and an open heart mitral valve recipient.
Despite some chronic health issues, she remained a strong, thoughtful, kind and faithful follower of Christ. Her zest and sense of adventure were always at the forefront of her life.
She was loved by all who met her and will be remembered fondly by many.
Her long term relationships with her cousin, Mary Jane (Ken) Kopija, and dearest friend of 60 years, Midge Berg, helped her through difficult times - but many good times as well. Her passions included dancing, the Aqua Babes water aerobics group, time at the First Nazarene Church, and all family functions especially Sunday family get-togethers.
Her greatest joy was her grandchildren. She enjoyed going to all their functions over the years which include their recitals, school functions, sports games, and wedding & bridal showers. Many fond memories with Gram will provide inspiration in their lives. Becoming a great-grandmother was a dream she was soon to realize and was very excited for it.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, September 17th from 6 - 8 pm at First Nazarene Church, 12725 Bell Road, Lemont, IL 60439.
