Patricia Sharritts Obituary
Patricia was a dedicated elementary school teacher who was passionate about instilling a love of learning in her students. She taught for 35 years. She spent the majority of her time teaching at East Elementary and Tarhe Elementary within Lancaster City Schools, but also taught a few years in Alger, Plain City and Amanda.
Patricia is survived by her children Paul (Debbie) Sharritts, John Sharritts, Stephen (Denine) Sharritts, and Kathleen (Lee) Holmes; grandchildren Pamela Sharritts, Ashley (Tommy) Paul, Courtney (Jon) Hooper, Aaron (Anna) Swope, Stephanie (Greg) Sharritts-Fyffe, Amy Swope, and Sarah (Joseph) Holmes-Pica; great grandchildren Alex, Brandon, Rangely, Remington, Bastion, and Nora; and sister Betty (Simpson) Keim.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Rev. F. Raymond Sharritts; parents Reed "Cod" Carlton and Ruth Lavon (Burroughs) Simpson; and daughter-in-law Janet Sharritts.
Calling hours will be held from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM Monday, August 14, 2023 at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home, 405 N. Columbus St. Lancaster, OH 43130. The funeral will be Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at 10:30 AM in the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Forest Rose Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to FairHope Hospice, 282 Sells Rd. Lancaster, OH 43130.
