Patricia Ann Sherick

Patricia Ann Sherick, 84, of Findlay, passed away Friday, October 24, 2025, at Blanchard Valley Hospital. She was born April 13, 1941, to the late Wayne and Betty (Roy) Cherry.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Myles (Bud) Sherick; her beloved daughter, Tricia (Gregory Schermerhorn); and her cherished canine companion, Cooper. In addition, she is also survived by her brother, Roy Cherry (Janet) of Dover; her sister-in-law, Sandra Cherry of Pandora; her sister-in-law, Elaine Chapman of North Baltimore; and her brother-in-law, John (Jack) Sherick of McComb. Pat also has eight nieces and nephews, of whom she was very fond.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Bradley Cherry, October 22, 2025; sister-in-law, Rhonda Sherick; brother-in-law, Raymond Chapman; and nephew, Tyson Sherick.

She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Findlay (formerly known as Findlay College) while working as an employee of Marathon Oil Company. She later earned her Master's Degree in Business Administration from Bowling Green State University.

After graduating from college, she taught high school business education at Ottawa Glandorf High School in Ottawa, Ohio and thereafter at Vanguard Vocational College in Fremont. After Pat retired from teaching, she earned her commercial real estate license and worked in real estate. Pat eventually became an entrepreneur when, along with her then-business partner, Joyce Thomas, she acquired Bonded Collection Service. Pat co-owned Bonded and worked there until she retired.

Pat was a warm, loving, witty and wonderful person who was beloved by all. She enjoyed getting together with family and friends, playing card games, working on puzzles and watching her two favorite sports teams, Ohio State Buckeyes and Kansas City Chiefs. In their retirement years, she and Bud also enjoyed spending the winters in Florida and visiting with their neighbors. Pat most relished her role as a mother to Tricia, and they were an inseparable pair, always spending time together, traveling, taking shopping trips, and having coffee. Mostly, Pat and Tricia loved to laugh together.

Over the latter part of her life, Pat confronted much adversity with health problems occasioned by chronic conditions. She had an unwavering determination to live life fully despite the challenges her physical condition presented. Her deep and abiding Christian faith, along with the support of her family and friends, saw her through these difficult times. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME. Funeral service for Pat will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME. Burial will follow in Knollcrest Gardens, east of Findlay, with Pastor David Welker officiating.
