Patricia (Pat) Myers Smart
Patricia Smart, age 86, passed away September 19, 2024.
Pat was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1938. In 1954 her family moved to Ft. Myers, FL where she met her late husband Gerry Smart. Gerry and Pat were together for 52 years before his passing. She spent most of her life in Florida where she enjoyed living in the country. Pat loved horses. She, Gerry and their sons traveled all over the state of Florida showing Quarter Horses. Pat spent her time there taking care of her sons, loving on her grandchildren, shopping, mowing grass and riding her horses.
In 2014 Pat moved to Cleveland, TN. She spent a lot of her time singing in the First Baptist of Cleveland, TN choir. The choir there recorded several CD's and Pat was recorded in their performances. Pat was surrounded by wonderful friends there who she treasured deeply. For the past 3 years, Pat lived in Portland, TN near her son and daughter-in-law where she enjoyed going to church with them and enjoying a good meal afterwards. The things Pat loved most in this life were traveling the country with her husband Gerry in their motor home, being a part of her church choir, her family, especially her grandchildren, and all her animals.
The family would like to thank the wonderful nurses and care givers at Vitality Living in Hendersonville for the love and care they showed Pat. They made the last months of her life the best they could be. Also, Aveanna Hospice for making her transition into the Lords arms peaceful.
She is preceded in death by her late husband, Gerry Smart; father, William Myers and mother, Aurelia Myers.
She is survived by her sons, Bill (Jennefer) Smart and Bobby (Vicki) Smart; Step-Son, Jerry (Molly) Wagner; Grandchildren, Emily Smart and Tanner Smart.
Celebration of Life for Pat will be held at Wilkinson & Wiseman Funeral Home in Portland, TN, at 1:00pm Saturday September 28, 2024 with Pastor David Woodard officiating.
Visitation will be on Saturday September 28, 2024 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Wilkinson & Wiseman Funeral Home.
