Patricia Snoddy Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Homes - Willoughby on Dec. 4, 2025.
Patricia (Patsy) J. Snoddy (née Passwaiter), age 75, of Willoughby, Ohio, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2025, at Hospice of the Western Reserve in Cleveland. Born on February 10, 1950, in Cleveland Heights, Pat lived a life centered on faith, family, community, and a boundless spirit of giving.

She was the beloved wife of the late James Snoddy; loving mother of Jennie Lynn (Joshua) Cottrell and Amanda Rose (Kristen Lundeen) Snoddy; cherished stepmother of Terry James Snoddy; and the adoring grandmother of Anthony, Jared, and Julia. Pat was the treasured sister of Daniel A. Passwaiter and Dianna L. Passwaiter, and a devoted aunt to Megan Passwaiter. She was preceded in death by her parents, William E. and Marcelline N. Passwaiter (née Stinziano).

Pat's faith was central to her life. A longtime member of Immaculate Conception Parish, she volunteered tirelessly, helping coordinate workers for the Annual Oktoberfest and organizing countless funeral luncheons with compassion and care. She was also an active member of the Willoughby Emblem Club 508, the Willoughby Eagles Auxiliary 2300, and the Immaculate Conception Court of Mary.

Pat was known for her energy, enthusiasm, and love of being involved. A die-hard Cleveland Indians fan, she enjoyed years of bowling at Vine Lanes and Seaway Lanes. She was never one to sit still-always participating, helping, or cheering someone on. When her daughters were young, she served as a room mom, ran the school hot lunch program, organized countless cookie sales, and coached their Willoughby Softball teams at both the pigtail and ponytail levels. She also loved crossword puzzles and word searches, often completing them with the same determination she brought to every part of her life.

Above all, Pat will be remembered for her warmth, dedication, and the joy she brought to all who knew her. Her legacy lives on through her family, her faith community, and the many lives she touched.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, 37940 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Burial to follow the Mass at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon, OH.
