Patricia Ann Somers Bloxom

Patricia Ann Somers Bloxom died, Friday, August 16, 2024 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury, MD. Born April 9, 1935, in Parksley, VA, she was the daughter of the late Elmer W. Somers.
Pat lived most of her life in the Parksley area, having resided in town until 1992 when she made her home at Sunderland Hall Farm in Gargatha Landing, VA. In 2012, she moved to Mallard Landing Retirement Community in Salisbury, MD.
As a child Pat went to school in Parksley and later attended Onancock High School. In 1950 and 1951, she had the pleasure of attending National Music Camp in Interlochen, Michigan, now part of the Interlochen Center of Arts. She graduated from the preparatory department at Virginia Intermont College in Bristol, VA in 1953. Patricia was a homemaker and a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
She was predeceased by her former husband, James R. Bloxom, with whom she had one daughter, Anne. She is also predeceased by her sister, Margaret Gay Somers.
A memorial service will be held at the Williams-Parksley Funeral Home on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at 11:00 a.m., with The Reverend G. Wayne Parsley officiating. Private interment will be held at the Parksley Cemetery.
