Patricia Tovey Srinivasan

Patricia Tovey Srinivasan, beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, Gigi and friend, passed away on Friday, May 2, 2025 surrounded by family who cherished her.
Born Patricia Diane Tovey on June 3, 1954 and always lovingly known as Patty, she was one of six kids and a proud middle child. Her deep love and appreciation for her big family was something she carried into every part of her life and made a priority with her children, instilling that they were part of something larger, special and fun.
From growing up on the storied Karen Avenue and being a self-proclaimed city girl out and about in Detroit to marrying the love of her life, Nandu Srinivasan, on July 1, 1983 and ultimately moving their family to Marshall in 1990, Patty genuinely found and sparked joy all along her journey.
Together Patty and Nandu raised three children, Navin, Sheila and Ethan. They were the center of her world. She never missed a pickup, game, or recital and filled their schedules not just to keep them busy but to help them discover what they loved. That same support and pride stayed constant as they grew, and her family will carry her love and encouragement with them always.
Patty was a loving mother-in-law to Beverly, Ryan, and Meghan. Becoming Gigi to Evelyn, Conrad and Julien might have been her most special role. She truly cherished her time with them and now each has the best guardian angel by their side.
Patty was devout in her Catholic faith, through which she found immense peace, purpose, and strength. She cherished the beauty of mass and the comfort of communion. Her faith grounded her, especially in the hardest moments, and shaped the grace and gratitude with which she moved through the world.
Affectionately called Positive Patty, she had a way of seeing the best in everyone and every situation. She always led with compassion and especially in the later years of her life, a sense of grit, grace and seemingly unstoppable energy.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Betty Marie and David J. She is survived by her husband, her children, her grandchildren, her five siblings, and many nieces and nephews, each of whom she loved deeply.
Her faith anchored her, her love of family defined her, and her light will continue to shine in all of us who were lucky enough to be loved by her.
Patty's family will come together for a funeral mass Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at 10:00 AM at San Marco Catholic Church on Marco Island.
A celebration of life will be held on either Friday, June 20 or Saturday, June 21 in Marshall, MI. The memorial mass will take place at St. Mary Catholic Church at 11am with a gathering for family and friends to follow-final details will be shared soon.
