Patricia (Patti) Strong, 53 of Sioux City, Iowa lost her near thirteen year battle against metastatic breast cancer on April 30th, 2025.
A graduate of West High School class of 1990, she went on to graduate from University of South Dakota and continued her education to include a Master’s degree from Lesley University in Cambridge, MA.
Patti was a member of Holy Cross Parish and enjoyed her time in the choir.
She was a writer and storyteller at heart. She shared her stories at Ode and Beacon Story Lab.
Patti took great joy planting flowers in the spring and tending to them all summer. She was determined to one day get back on her bicycle, sadly that did not happen.
At this time there will be no services held. The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date. The Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorial donations can be made to the June E. Nylen Cancer Center or because of her firm belief in Art Therapy, the Sioux City Art Center.
Patricia is survived by her brother Steven Strong and sister Joyce Strong, both of Sioux City, Iowa.
