Thomas W. Edwards, 87 of Sioux City, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at a local nursing facility, under the care of Hospice. A Memorial Service will be held in the spring of 2026 with burial to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sioux City. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered to the Siouxland Senior Center in Thomas’ name.
Thomas was born on July 7, 1938, in Spencer, Iowa to Floyd and Marguerite Edwards. He was raised in Spirit Lake, Iowa. Thomas worked for Northwestern Bell for 35 years before his retirement. Thomas married Marvel “Tootie” Mozak in September of 1995. He was a member of the Local Sertoma Club for many years, enjoyed connecting with people and had a soft spot for his many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Thomas is survived by his sister Leanne Edwards of Lone Rock, Iowa; daughter Terri Banks of Bloomington, Indiana, daughter Brenda (Doug) Craig of Yutan, Nebraska; stepdaughter Peggy (Aaron) Kraft of Las Vegas, Nevada and stepdaughter Jennifer (Dan) Wubbena of Jefferson, South Dakota and stepson Tim (Tracey) Mozak of Dakota Dunes, South Dakota.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, wife Marvel (Tootie), brothers William and Robert Edwards, sister LaDonna Edwards, son Todd Edwards, and stepson Todd Mozak.
