Patricia Sutton Obituary
She was born on September 8, 1960, in Jasper, Indiana to the late Eugene and Elleen (Schmitt) Sutton.
Patty had a deep love of traveling to Florida, where she enjoyed long days at the beach. She first expressed her creativity as a hairdresser, and later became a registered nurse, devoting her career to caring for others with compassion and love. She was also a former member of the Eagles Lodge 2442 in Shoals, Indiana. Patty will be remembered for her kindness, work ethic, and the lasting impact she made on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Steve Sutton, Joseph Sutton, and Glenn Sutton.
Patty is survived by her siblings: Mark (Georgette) Sutton, Tim (Terry) Sutton, John (Rachel) Sutton, Terese (Von) Chavis, Mary Ann Sutton, Martha (Everett) Yoder, David (April) Sutton, and Joan (Brent) Jones; sister-in-law, Kathy Sutton; her Godchildren, Jordan Chavis and Erin Wolfe; 21 nieces and nephews, and several great-nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Very Rev. J. Kenneth Walker at 10:00 A.M Friday, February 6, 2026, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. John Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2026, from 4:00 P.M to 7:00 P.M at Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee, Indiana, and again on Friday from 9:00 A.M to 9:45 A.M at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Carmelite Monastery, 6100 Pepper Rd, Denmark, WI 54208 or Phi Beta Psi Sorority, In care of Lucretia Kuehn, 5350 Sandpit Road, Bedford, IN 47421.

My dearest 'Patty cakes' (as I called her w/a hug each time we worked together) was SO AMAZING to work w/in the ER! You showed me SO MUCH/taught me SO MUCH! So many fun memories! I always turned down the thermostat before you came on ( night shift ) LOL you're 1st acknowledgment was "how hot is it in here! Who turns this up!" I type this while chuckling to share for others because I can literally see her saying that. She was so amazing, her compassion, her strength, she was a go getter! Knew her stuff that's for sure! I will ALWAYS think of Pattycakes and smile!!! God took a GREAT Woman Home! It's not goodbye, I'll see you again my beautiful redheaded spitfire of a friend! Love you!!!
