Patricia "Trish" Smith

Patricia “Trish” Smith, age 58, of Forest City, passed away, Sunday, June 18, 2023 at her residence.

Trish was born Monday, September 21, 1964 in Newberry, SC to the late Thomas Eugene Meece and Paulyn Anne Deefreest Bridwell. She worked as a receptionist for several years at various businesses. She had a passion for plants and flowers and had a knack for bringing plants back to life. Trish was an animal lover and especially loved her two dogs. She was obsessed with horses and wolves. She enjoyed blasting music and dancing away. Trish was an outdoor person and enjoyed tubing down rivers. Her ultimate passion was her kids and grandkids whom she loved with all of her heart. She literally would do anything for them.

    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her significant other, David Lee Coggins, Jr.

    Survivors include her children, Brandon Smith of Grover, NC, Tiffany Shults of Spartanburg, SC and Christie McCarty of Chesnee; grandchildren, Madison Griffey, Landon Shults, Dallas Hughes, Carson McCarty, Colby McCarty and Avery McCarty. Her siblings, Amanda Thomas, Michelle Landrith, Dawn Beaudette. She is also survived by her two beloved pets, Baby Girl and Skylar.

    The funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 pm on Thursday, June 22nd at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
