Obituary
After being born in Bedford, Ohio on September 6th, 1946, to Patrick (Wilbur) and Jean Kelley, Patricia spent most of her life being loved by her husband Jim. Her strong will and refusal to let him turn the volume up on the TV made her irresistible to him. (Her awesome beauty helped a little too.) They grew up together and graduated from Bedford High School in 1964. Together they created a genetically engineered sarcastic family that can't resist a good one-liner. Despite their numerous infractions and inappropriate humor, Patty believed every person in her family to be perfect in every way. And it was pointless to disagree with her, so no one did. She was a force to be reckoned with. She ran her own business for 30+ years, organized events for church and friends, and always knew what she wanted and made sure she got it.
Pat loved a lot. She loved picking up her grandchildren and taking them shopping. She loved watching their sporting events or just hanging out with them. Mostly she loved a clean, organized house decorated with "next year's colors". She loved to always spill something on her shirt, a good bargain, getting new cars, mothering all the neighborhood children, traveling, lunch with friends, Miss Piggy, cooking, writing To-Do lists, sunbathing, and reading a good book. Patty loved the simple things hard. But mostly, Pat loved her family in such a way that each one of them knew without a doubt that they were loved. She taught them to end every goodbye with, "I love you."
Patricia requested that we hold a "Patty Party" to celebrate her life. She said that she was always planning the parties while she was here so there was no better way to say goodbye. Join us anytime starting at 4 p.m. Friday September 8th until 8 p.m. at the Bedford Eagles Club located at 237 Broadway Ave., Bedford, OH 44146. We will have a short service at 5p.m. followed by food and drinks for all to enjoy while we laugh and cry reliving all our stories about Pat. If you knew Pat, you are now thinking to yourself "What color did she want us to wear to the party?" As her last favor of goodwill to all of us she said we can wear anything, and nothing must match! Flowers are certainly welcome; however, Patty would be tickled pink if you planted flowers in your garden or took you and your family to a movie, a concert, or a nice meal at a locally owned restaurant instead. She would love that. A lot.
Jim has been waiting patiently for her to join him and we are so glad they have each other again. Left behind to carry on Patricia's legacy are her children Patrick Alan Tulloch (Shannon), Megan Stokes, and Rebecca Rzeszut (Shawn), grandchildren: Andrew (Nicole), Mitchell, Evan, Madison, Delaney (Jon), Trevor, Mikey, and Ben, great grandchildren: Charlotte, Josie, and Ellie and her favorite grand pup Dumo.
