Joseph Tarantino Obituary

Joseph V. Tarantino, 81, of Johnston, Ohio passed away Thursday, August 21, 2025, at his home. He was born July 9, 1944, in East Cleveland, OH, the son of the late Vincent J. Tarantino and the late Marie Simmennetta Tarantino. Joe was a 1962 graduate of Bedford High School, and was employed as a UAW Local 1714 Benefits Representative at General Motors Corporation for 34 years. He was a starter at Youngstown Country Club for 24 years. Joe loved golfing, cars and music, especially Elvis. Joe is survived by his son, Vincent Tarantino of Johnston, OH; two daughters, Natalie Tarantino of Lancaster, OH and Tracy (Dave) Bussler of Johnston, OH; grandchildren, Brittany, Logan, Lindsey, Joseph, Elizabeth, and Michael; great-grandchildren, Gannon, Gabriella, Lilliana, and Oliver; sister, Frances Zindash; his companion, Sandy Marino of Warren, OH; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Frances Savakis; and sister, Darlene Scribner. Services will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home. Friends may call from 2:00 PM -4:00 PM on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
