Patricia D. Turriff, 84, of De Pere, passed away Saturday, July 30, surrounded by her family after a long battle with Parkinson's. Mom was born January 22, 1938. She was the daughter of the late Marcella Baldwin and stepdaughter of the late Don Baldwin. Pat Pollatz was a 1956 graduate of Nicolet High School in West De Pere. Mom married her high school sweetheart, Mike Turriff, in 1959, sharing 45 years together before dad passed away in December of 2004. Mom and Dad did everything together. She was always by dad's side supporting and sharing the work tasks.
Mom was a woman of deep faith. Her entire life was devoted to God and her family. She was always there for us. She enjoyed keeping up her yard, decorating her house, shopping for clothes (often for others), cooking Sunday dinners, volunteering, and playing jokes on friends, just to mention a few. She was always on the go. She had a "wacky" sense of humor to say the least. Mom truly loved her grandkids. She had a special relationship with each on of them. She created lifelong memories with them including trips to the mall to do the "mall walk", stories about Rufus and Magic Mike, Halloween parties, Easter Egg Hunts, costumes, sleepovers, Christmas plays, Christmas Eve where she had presents specially purchased for each grandchild.
Mom will be deeply missed by her four children, her 13 grandchildren, and her great grandchildren. Tina and Tom Kocken and their 3 sons, Alex and Kelly, Spencer and Meghan, Sam and Sarah; Todd and Kelly Turriff and their 4 children, Emily and Mike McQuin, Ethan Turriff and fiancé Katie Fulton, Anna and Andrew Thompson; Brittany and Jayson Smolenski; Sherry and Cody Yanzick and their 3 daughters, Melanie and Dan Mommaerts, Alyssa and Lane Wojtyna, Olivia and Evan Geurts; Scott and Janelle Turriff and their 3 children, Madeline, Samantha, and Michael.
Great grandchildren include Brynn, Oakley, Fulton, Eloise, George, Rhonyn, Deltyn, Oliver, Oscar, Harper, Asher, Finley, and 2 babies on the way. One brother, Gary (Rosemarie) Pollatz. One brother-in-law, Bill (Sharon) Turriff, and one sister-in-law, Sharon Turriff. In addition to her parents and husband, Mike, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Pat Turriff, and 4 grandchildren, Ben, Luke, Nick and Jonah.
God pruned a beautiful limb from our family tree, but the tree remains strong and will continue to flourish.
Friends may call at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church on Thursday, August 4, 2022, from 9 to 11AM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00AM with Fr. James Baraniak, O. Praem. officiating.
The family would like to thank the entire team at Rennes in De Pere for all the care and compassion they showed mom over the years. We would also like to thank Unity Hospice for all their care and compassion during the last days of mom's life.
Donations may be made in Pat's name to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in De Pere or Paul's Food Pantry in Green Bay.
