John Sarosiek Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ryan Funeral Home & Crematory - De Pere on Aug. 29, 2025.

Publish in a newspaper

John Joseph Sarosiek, 73, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on August 28, 2025.

John was born in Green Bay, WI on April 18, 1952, to Joe and Betty (Wellens) Sarosiek. He graduated from Green Bay West High School in 1971. While at Green Bay West, he met the love of his life, Jean (Kuske). They were married at St. Patrick's Church on August 9, 1974, and were inseparable for 51 wonderful years.

In 1972, John began working at Tectron Tube, where he was a devoted employee until his retirement in 2014. Even years after his retirement, John loved to tell stories and reflect on his many memories from his 42-year career.

However, John's favorite job of all was being a dad to his 3 amazing children and a grandpa to his 5 little monkeys. He enjoyed coaching his kids in sports and continued to coach alongside them as they grew older. John adored watching his grandchildren do the things they loved and spending time with them, whether they were collecting football cards, watching sports, or sitting by the fire. He also enjoyed traveling with Jean (especially going to the beach and on bus trips) and spending time with his brothers. John had a huge heart and was always there to lend a helping hand or words of encouragement.

John was a gifted storyteller; he had a story for every occasion and could strike up a conversation with anybody. He was also a dedicated NASCAR and Green Bay Packer fan. It was often said that the stadium was built around him because he would never miss a Packer game. John also loved dogs, especially his golden retrievers, Montana and Tally.

John's booming voice and colorful personality will be dearly missed by everybody who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Jean, and their children Ted (Jenny) Sarosiek, Kathy (Wes) Tennant, and Terri (Doug) Mueller. He is also survived by his 5 beloved grandkids: Brayden, Gavin, Josephine, Teague, and Brielle. John is further survived by his siblings Steve (Kristi) Sarosiek, Bob Sarosiek, and Mary Jo Sarosiek, as well as his nieces, nephews, in-laws, and many other family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Betty, as well as his parents-in-law, Whitey and Lois Kuske.

The family would like to thank the teams at County Rescue, St. Mary's Emergency Room, and St. Vincent's ICU for their compassionate care.

Family and friends may call at Ryan Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 6. Mass will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Father Shamus presiding. Per John's wishes, the funeral will be casual dress. A private burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
