Patricia Azar "Pat" Wheeler

Pat is preceded in death by husband of 65 years, Jimmy Wheeler, Sr.; son, Scott Carl Wheeler; parents, Fred, Sr. and Sadie Azar; brother, Fred Azar, Jr.; her sister-in-law, Pat Azar; and sister, Joan Caviness.
She is survived by brother, Nick (Patty) Azar; her children, Jimmy Jr (Angie) Wheeler, Todd (Kim) Wheeler, Sheri (John) Palmer; and daughter-in-law, Kimberly Wheeler; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Aundrea Wright (Anna, Miley, & Leland), Drew (Heather) Allen (McKinlee & Briggs), Madison Wheeler, Morgan (Matt) Smith (Kodah & Levy), Colby (Dale) Ellis (Knox & Selah), Brooke (Spencer) McCorkle, Nora Schneider, Ashleigh (Matt) MacAskill (Aaron & Henry), Andy O'Reilly, Sadie Wheeler (daughter, Scottie), Alex (Jeremy) Gable (Emory & Adley), Walt (Taylor) Palmer (Macklen & Anniston); and many nieces and nephews.
Pat was born on April 2, 1940 and raised in Atlanta. She graduated from Hoke Smith High school. Pat had a successful career as a broadcast media buyer for major advertising accounts. She was well-known in the Atlanta area for her talents and skills and retired from Tucker Wayne advertising.
Pat met Jimmy while in high school and it was true love at first sight. They married soon after high school and started their family. They were devoted to their children and spent many weekends watching and cheering on their kids in sports. They made their home welcome to all and Pat was known as a second mom to her children's friends. She loved hosting family gatherings at her home and traveling. She truly lit up every room she entered and made everyone she met feel loved.
The funeral service to celebrate the life of Pat Wheeler will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel, Snellville, GA, with Pastor Ken Sirmans officiating. Interment will follow the service at Fairview Cemetery in Stockbridge, GA. The family will receive friends the evening prior, on Friday, February 7, 2025 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
