Patricia “Pat” Margaret Workman, age 88, of Beeville, Texas, passed away on February 14, 2025. Pat was born on January 18, 1937, in George West, Texas to Ruby Tate and Leo Holland.

Pat grew up in and graduated from school in George West and eventually moved to Beeville and married John Richard “Dick” Scott III where they had three children, Terri Sue Scott, John Richard “Dickie” Scott IV (Denise) and Reagan Scott (Karyn). Pat was the blessed grandmother of Ashley Becker (Clinton), John Richard Scott V (Katherine), Wesley Wesson and Sydney Wesson; and great-grandmother of three. She is also survived by a sister, Leslie Lynch; and three brothers, Stewart Sheppard, Rodney Sheppard and David Sheppard.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; Wayne Morris “Choppy” Sheppard and James L. “Jim” Holland; and a sister, Luanne Alaniz.

Pat later married and lived a long and happy life together with Sam McCarty “Mac” Workman, until his passing in 2016. Pat had several careers in Beeville including a long stint at Southwest Land and Title and later retiring from the Texas Animal Health Commission.

She loved spending time with her family, sewing, working in her yard and loved falling into a good book. She always was smiling and truly enjoyed the blessing of life for her 88 years. Pat was a dedicated fan of her children as they participated in competitions growing up, she never missed a rifle match, football game, basketball game or track meet.

The family would like to express a special thank you to the members of the Spohn Shoreline Hospital Emergency Department, the members of New Century Hospice and Hacienda Oaks Nursing Home who were so caring the last three hard days of her life.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 1, 2025 at First Presbyterian Church in Beeville.
