Galloway & Sons Funeral Home - BeevilleKnown to so many as “Mr. Dial”, Slade Winston Dial, 59, of Beeville Texas passed away unexpectedly on the morning of March 5th while doing the ranch chores he loved so much.
Slade was born on February 24, 1967, to Jackie Winston and Shirley Ann Hector Dial of Bee County. He greatly enjoyed being an only child. He loved God with his whole heart and one of his favorite things was to talk to others about Jesus Christ. He worked as a 5th and then 4th grade teacher for 32 years at Beeville Independent School District. For the past 15 years he also worked on the neighboring Rancho Siete W Ranch in Bee County.
Slade married Lesle Woodside Dial on February 10, 1989, and they had three beautiful daughters.
He is preceded in death by his mother Shirley Dial.
Slade is survived by his father, Jack; his wife, Lesle; and their three daughters, Britni Anne Dial Royce, Carissa Gayle (Abel) Calderon, and Shiloh Winston (Thomas) Brackett. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Archer, Peyton, Kaedyn, Brogan, Loraleigh, Adalae; and one great grandson Callum. In addition, he will be greatly missed by his beloved animal companions Kaci Marie and Luci Bell, and his feline drandson Rascal.
Slade was one of a kind. He had a great sense of humor, picked on everyone equally, and enjoyed visiting with his former students. Rarely did he ever go out to eat with the family that a former student didn’t come and greet him and ask him if they remembered him. He almost always did.
The family would like to thank all those that reached out in love and compassion during this difficult time. Your prayers and kindness are appreciated and will always be remembered.
Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, at Galloway and Sons funeral home in Beeville followed by a funeral service at 4 o'clock with Rev. Mark Spaniel and Pastor Pat Traxler officiating. Burial will follow at the Dial family Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be family members: Abel Calderon, Thomas Brackett, Peyton Schmidt, Brett Rowley, Todd Rowley, and Michael Yeoman.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be given to STCH Ministries, PO Box 759, Beeville, TX 78104, or a charity of your choice
