Patricia Yates Obituary
July 8, 1943 - August 1, 2025
Patricia "Pat" Ann Halstead Yates, at the age of 82, of Panama City Beach, Florida, beloved Aunt and devoted friend, received her Angel Wings on August 1, 2025. She was born to Comer Ellis Halstead and Hilda Irene Adams Halstead on July 8, 1943, in Thomaston, GA. She will be remembered for being a loving wife, daughter, aunt, and friend. She was a dedicated employee of Southern Bell.
Patricia was predeceased by her husband, Edward James Yates; and her parents, She is survived by her sister-in-law, Garnett Halstead; nephews, Bobby Mathis Jr, Joey Halstead, Steven Halstead, Douglas Halstead, and David Daughette; nieces, Sylvia Walsingham, Diane Mathis, Debra Daughette, Barbara Daughette; and a large family of great-nieces and nephews who loved her dearly and will miss her every day. Aunt Pat was an avid Atlanta Braves fan, never missed a game if she could help it. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Panama City and worked with The Council on Aging for several years. She was affectionately known to all as Aunt Pat.
Funeral services will be held on August 16, 2025, at Kent Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 2403 Harrison Avenue, Panama City, FL 32405. The family will receive visitors at 1:00 pm and the service will follow at 2:00 pm, with Brother Clyde Ellerson officiating.
Pallbearers are Steven Halstead, Douglas Halstead, Jeffery Walsingham, Allen Walsingham, Steven O'Brien, and Anthony Roebuck.
Internment will take place at Kent Forest Lawn Mausoleum, Serenity Phase II, following the service. In Lieu of flowers please make donations to the American Diabetes Association.
