Patricia (Patty) Yencer, 77, passed away on July 22, 2025. She was born on January 23, 1948 in Waverly, Iowa to Herschel and Lavora (Fick) Opperman. She grew up in Allison, Iowa and graduated from Allison- Bristow High School in 1966. She attended Mercy School of Nursing and The College of St. Francis where she graduated with her Nursing Degree. Patty married James Yencer on June 6, 1970. She worked at Methodist Hospital for 41 years.

Patty loved to read books, do puzzles, and word searches. She and Jim enjoyed traveling, including places such as Hawaii and Mexico.

Patty is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jim Yencer; children, Kyle (Kris) Yencer and Tricia (Mike) Miller; 7 grandchildren, Nick Yencer, Nate Yencer, Josh Yencer, Jack Yencer, Carli Bennett, Max Miller, Ty Miller; and brother, John (Julie) Opperman. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister Pamela Clark.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 25, 2025 at Iles Grandview Park Chapel. A visitation will be from 10:00 AM -11:00 and the service will begin at 11:00 AM.
