Patricia Mae Zitzow, age 91 of Dent, MN passed away peacefully surrounded by her husband, family, and loved ones on Friday, August 22, 2025 in Perham Living. Visitation will be 10:00-11:00 a.m. followed by the Memorial Service at 11:00 on Saturday, September 6 at Schoeneberger Funeral & Cremation Service in Perham, MN. A Committal Service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Calvary Memorial Cemetery near Perham.
Patricia was born May 1, 1934 in Valley City, ND, the daughter of Lorence and Dora (Hohrmann) Beyer. She graduated from Detroit Lakes High School. Patricia was united in marriage to Elmer Zitzow on March 19, 1955.
Some of Patricia’s favorite pastimes included sewing, and ceramics. She also appreciated the outdoors by spending time watching the squirrels and birds, her favorites being hummingbirds, owls, and loons.
Preceding Patricia in death were her parents; her brother Richard Beyer; and several nieces and nephews.
Surviving Patricia are her husband Elmer; children Ronald (Dawn) Zitzow, Cindy (Kevin) Marcott, Judith (Greg) Hoveland, and William Zitzow; nine grandchildren Corey, Jaclyn, Ryan, Derek, Kris, Tyler, Nicole, Matt, and Curt; 15 great-grandchildren; her sister Karen (Mike) Johnson; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Patricia’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff, volunteers, and friends of Perham Living and Vivie Hospice, for the care and attention she received during her residency at Perham Living. A final request during a recent hospital stay was to “Be at her home at Perham Living with her friends and family.”
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Perham Living, Roger Maris Cancer Center, or Vivie Hospice in Wadena.
