Patrick Jon Barela

It is with heavy a heart that we announce the unexpected passing of Patrick Jon Barela, age 64, who passed away in his home on September 8th, 2024. 

Patrick was a skilled drywaller, dedicating many years to his craft with an unwavering work ethic. Outside of work, he found great joy in spending time with his grandchildren, who were the light of his life. An avid outdoorsman, Patrick loved hunting and fishing, and he also had a passion for building intricate model trains, a hobby that reflected his meticulous nature.

As a father, Patrick was unparalleled. He raised his only daughter, Priscilla, on his own, embodying the roles of both mother and father with grace and dedication. His honesty, hardworking spirit, and unwavering kindness left an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Patrick leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth. He is survived by his beloved daughter Priscilla Weisent and her husband, Charles Weisent; his cherished grandchildren, Gavin, Paige, and Dylan; his stepson, Justin Saldana; his loving mother, Betty Thayer; and his siblings, Ralph Barela, Steve Barela, Tom Barela, and Sally Fitzpatrick. Patrick will be forever loved and deeply missed by all who knew him.
