Patrick D. Bisson Sr.

Patrick David Bisson, Sr. "Pat" - of Flushing, age 83, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 15, 2023, following his battle with cancer. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11AM on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Montrose - 400 N. Saginaw St, Montrose, MI. Father Jonathan Perrotta officiating. The family will receive visitors on Monday, December 18, 2023, at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose from 4PM until 8PM with a Rosary being held at 7PM, and on Tuesday at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church from 10AM until the time of Mass at 11AM. Burial will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery in Ovid, Michigan. Memorial Contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Catholic Church, or the Knights of Columbus Council #8669.
Pat was born on November 24, 1940, in Muskegon, MI to Lawrence Francis and Yolanda (Longoni) Bisson. He was raised on a family farm in Aetna, MI and graduated from Fremont High School in 1959. He graduated from General Motors Institute in 1964 and became an Engineer for General Motors, working in the Oldsmobile and Buick divisions. He owned Pat Bisson Chevrolet-Oldsmobile dealership in Eldora, IA and finished his career at Troy Design. During retirement, he enjoyed working part-time at the Flint Auto auction.
Pat was a man of faith who also loved all things automotive. He was a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers and served on its board for over 25 years, the Society of Automotive Historians and past board member, and the Retired Men's Fellowship of Greater Flint. He was also a member of the National DeSoto Club and served on the local Great Lakes DeSoto chapter, proudly displaying his 1949 DeSoto and 1954 Desoto. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, serving on the board for over 15 years and an active member for 49 years. Pat is also a 4th Degree Knight.
Pat is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sandra of Flushing, MI; his children, Patrick D Bisson Jr. of Flushing, MI; Craig A. (Lynette) Bisson of Ovid, MI; Ann T. (Joseph) Seykora of Eaton Rapids, MI; Keith A. (Dana) Bisson of Palo, IA, his grandchildren Megan, Nicolaus, Alexandra, Olivia, Aaron(Bryn), Austin (Cydni), Elizabeth, Stephanie, CJ and Addison; Kaitlyn and Emily; Jayden (Zach), Jake, and Ashley; great grandchildren, Riley, Everett, Logan, Claire; Elliana and Jaylee, Emery and Luca Patrick (born three weeks ago on Great Grandpa's birthday!); his sisters, Marianne (Mick) Erickson and Janice (Mike); brothers-in-law Jerry, Brian (Ellie) and Tim (Donna), and sisters-in-law Peggy, Sue, Lisa (Rob) and Amy, and many nieces and nephews. Pat was preceded in death by father Lawrence Francis Bisson Sr., mother, Yolanda Bisson, father-in-law, Terrance Rosa, mother-in-law, Audrey Rosa, brother Lawrence "Larry" Bisson, sister Kathleen "Kathy" Stratton, brothers-in-law Terry Rosa and Randy Rosa, sister-in-law Carole Rosa, grandson Creigh Bisson.
