Funeral Mass for Patrick “Borell” Bonton of Marksville will begin at 11:00am on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at St. Richard’s Catholic Church in Hickory Hill with Fr. Joseph Desimone officiating. Burial will follow at St. Richard’s Cemetery in Marksville.
Visitation will begin at 8:00am until 10:30am on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Escude Funeral Home in Mansura. Rosary prayer service will begin at 9:30am.
Patrick “Borell” Bonton, 62, of Marksville, LA went home to be with the Lord on September 29, 2025, at Oak Haven Nursing home in Center Point, LA. He was born on May 17, 1963, in Pineville, LA to Morris Sr. and Delores Jacob Bonton. Patrick was preceded in death by his father, Morris, Sr.; his maternal grandparents, Winton and Corine Mayeaux Jacob; and paternal grandparents, Euries and Carrie Johnson Bonton.
He was a member of St. Richard's Chapel in Hickory Hill. Patrick was a graduate of Marksville High School, Class of 1981. He worked briefly in the construction field until his health began to fail. He adapted and carried on with life in spite of his physical challenges.
Patrick leaves to cherish his memories his daughter, Melanie PaTrice Tassin of Houston, TX; his granddaughters, Kendolyn Renae Washington (11) and Brysen Amir Tassin-Guillory (9); his mother, Delores Bonton; three brothers: Stanley Bonton of Hessmer, LA, Morris Bonton, Jr., of Marksville, LA, and Dexter Bonton of Huntsville, AL; one sister, Carlotte Rhodes of Marksville, LA. Patrick will also be remembered by his many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers: Myron Bonton, Peter Bonton, Morris Bonton, III, Raymond Hayes, Kenneth Lavallais, and Gabriel Bonton. Honorary pallbearers: Norris Bonton, Stanley Bonton, Edgar Greenhouse, Morris Bonton, Jr., Harold Bonton, Dexter Bonton, Russell Jacob, Clifton Bonton, Jr., and Anthony Greenhouse.
