Patrick Alan Burton

Patrick Alan Burton, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at 4:20 pm after an extensive battle with his health.
Patrick, affectionately known as Pat, Bubba, Fredrick, Uncle Pat, and Uncle Robot Yeg, was born on May 30, 1964, to Anna Bell and Arthur Burton Jr. in Toledo, OH, as the youngest of seven children.
Patrick established his personal relationship with God early in life, evident through his baptism and singing with the New Home Baptist Church Jr Male Chorus - the Woodie Loveless Quartet. Through his singing, he established his love for music.
He attended Lincoln Elementary, Robinson Jr. High School, and Macomber Vocational Technical High School, where he was a Track and Field team member and a proud member of the class of 1982. After high school, he was employed as an Auto Mechanic until he enlisted in the US Army in November 1990 and served until his honorable discharge in 1993.
Patrick, a twin to Patricia, shared a unique bond with his sister. They created their own language and signals making everyone wonder what they were up to. During their childhood, Patrick had his twin speak for him when he didn't want to talk. They were two peas in a pod, inseparable. It wasn't until First grade that they experienced their very first separation.
Over the years, Patrick enjoyed sports and was an advent lover of the Ohio State Buckeyes, NASCAR Driver Jeff Gordon, and the Kansas City Chiefs. He also enjoyed spending countless hours with his nephews playing video games and listening to music. He was known to turn any rap song into a gospel toon.
In June 2011, Patrick married Heather Marie Ayers, and affectionally cared for Heather's niece and nephews, becoming a "blended" family after the loss of the children's mother.
Patrick is preceded in death by the beloved oldest sister, Delores Burton-Boykin, and parents, Anna Bell and Arthur Burton, Jr.
He is survived by his estranged wife, Heather Ayers-Burton; Brothers- Raymond L. (Rosemary) Burton, Sr.; A. Wayne (Kim) Burton, Fort Wayne, IN; Sisters- Jessica Burton, Chandler, AZ; Elaine (the Late Terry) Gamble, Beeville, TX; and twin sister, Patricia A. (Francis) Dumbuya; his "special" crew (the Nieces, Nephews, and Great-Nephews) along with a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.
