BUSCHMOHLE, Patrick T., Patrick Terrance Buschmohle was born in 1946 to Joe and Dorothy. He grew up in Saint Clair Shores and attended St. Gertrude High School until he was caught, "smoking in the boys' room'' and asked to leave the premises. Pat then went to Lake Shore High School and graduated in 1964. He was drafted into the Army in 1966, he was posted in Germany and Korea. While in Germany he purchased a camera, and the course of his life was set. After getting out of the army, Patrick apprenticed with Robert Stewart in his St. Clair Shores Studio. When the opportunity arose and time was right, Pat and Pam started their own studio in Warren, Patrick Photography Studio 1974-2024. He loved making meaningful images of the beauty he found everywhere. He loved photographing children, especially babies. He became well known for his lovely portraits of mothers and babies. Patrick photographed 1500 weddings and enjoyed every one of them, even the two that the bride did not show up for! Pat got very involved in photographing high school seniors, and became official school photographer for Warren Consolidated Schools. Patrick was always busy, photographing families, weddings and government employees in the city. Soon, Pat was named Detroit Professional Photographer of the Year. He was also honored by being named Michigan Photographer of the Year. He later served as president of Detroit Professional Photographers Association. Patrick earned his Master of Photography degree, which he was proud of. Patrick loved his wife, kids, grandchildren, friends and his profession. He enjoyed working with De La Salle families, and he loved working with the students. He was proud that his son and two of his grandsons attended, with number three entering DLS in September in 2025. Many of us have "Patrick Images", he had the heart of an artist. He truly loved people and in turn so many people loved him. His community will miss his wit, charm and positivity.
Patrick is survived by Wife, Pamela (nee) Bellant. Brothers; Michael Buschmohle, Dennis Buschmohle(w) Mara. Children;Patick Buschmohle Jr. (Chrysanthe) Shannon McKay (Brent)Courtney DeSmet(Jeremy). Grandchildren; Gabriel, Brady, Riley, Patrick III, Piper, JP.

Pat was a high school classmate of mine and a team mare of mine on a few hockey teams we played on during our high school years. I did not see Pat and his family much after high school but I know he was a fantastic photographer and he kept his bubbly personality all of his days. I´m now living a retired life in Florida with some other buddies he knew and we all got together and agreed that was one of a kind and a teammate we will always miss. Jerry Seay
