Patrick Joseph Canavan, Jr, 57, of Toms River, New Jersey, passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2025. Patrick was a devoted Husband, Father, Brother, Uncle, and friend to all. Patrick was born on October 8, 1967, in Jersey City, New Jersey.

Patrick was a member of the Seaside Heights Volunteer Fire Department since 1989 and also served as Captain at one point during his service to our community in Seaside Heights, where he lived with his family until 2007, when they moved to Toms River. He also worked for himself as a used car salesman for 22 years.

Patrick was a lover of the outdoors, being on the boat and crabbing and fishing. Music was his passion. Patrick had a unique sense of humor with an uncanny ability to make people laugh wherever he went. As a lifelong prankster, he was able to find humor in everyday situations. Patrick loved talking and being with people. Patrick is preceded in death by his parents, Patrick and Rosemarie Canavan. Surviving him is his beloved wife of 31 years, Michele (nee: Santarella) Canavan, his three daughters, Danielle Canavan, Christina Canavan, and Allison Canavan, his brother Edward Canavan as well as his niece Carlie Rose Canavan and Julianna Sands. Patrick's unconditional love for his family will never be forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 2:00pm to 6:00pm at the Carmona-Bolen Home for Funerals, 412 Main Street, Toms River, NJ 08753.
