Linda Lathrop

Linda A. Lathrop, 82, of Manchester, NJ, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 12, 2025. Born in Union, NJ, she lived there until settling in the Ocean County area in 1978.

Linda was a fun-loving, kind, beautiful human being beloved by many. She enjoyed spending time at the Jersey shore, and being a whimsical and adventurous soul, she used to travel with a kite in the trunk of her yellow Duster, just in case the winds beckoned.

Linda shared many wonderful adventures with the love of her life, her husband, Leroy. They travelled from her favorite lighthouses in coastal Maine to the warm, welcoming sunshine of Florida, and as far west as enchanting New Mexico; often tying in a visit with her nieces or stepchildren. Linda also loved taking cruises with friends to the Caribbean, and she was always looking forward to their next adventure.

Linda had an eye for beauty and was a buyer of women's outerwear for Haines Department Store in Union, NJ for many years. Later, she was also a Clerical Representative for the Ocean County Sheriff's Department in Toms River, NJ.

Linda is reunited in Heaven with her parents Gustave and Elsie (Nicholas) Bald.

She will be forever held and cherished in the hearts of her loving family: her husband of 48 years Leroy Lathrop, son Kenneth and his wife Margret Lathrop, daughter Jacqueline Lee Lathrop, son Christopher Lathrop, four grandchildren Haley O'Connor, Ryan Lathrop, Chase Lathrop, and Logan Lathrop, as well as her loving nieces Janice Urban, and Larissa Urban.
