Patrick "Pooks" "PJ" Cervera Jr., 43, a resident of Rio Rancho, went home to our heavenly father on August15, 2023. He is survived by his spouse, Therese Martinez-Cervera; Mariyah Martinez (daughter), Jacob Good (son in law), Miah Good (granddaughter) and Jayden Good (grandson); Jalecia Cervera (daughter), and Elijah Cervera (son); Patrick Cervera Sr. (father); Laura Zamora (mother); Brandy Cervera (sister) and David Cervera (brother); William and Dianne Littlehead (father and mother in law); Frank Martinez (father in law); Erica and Josh Roybal (sister and brother in law), Raymond Roybal (nephew), and Scarlet Roybal (niece); Makenzie Thomas (niece), and Jordan Ornelas (nephew). Patrick is proceeded in death by Ruth Cervera (grandmother); Frances V. Martinez (grandmother); and Francesca Martinez (sister in law). After high school, Patrick enlisted in the Army and proudly served his country for 5 years. He and his family then moved to Rio Rancho for a new beginning. Patrick served his community well by supporting his daughter in Club Softball and spent 17 years as a part of YAFL with his son. He was also an active member of the Wounded Warrior Project. Should friends desire, plants and flowers are welcome. Donations may also be made in Patrick's name to the Wounded Warrior Project by visiting www.warriorsservingwarriors.org. Services will be held at the Daniel's Funeral Home on Monday, September 18th at 11am. Burial to follow at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe at 1:30pm.
