Patrick Lambert Courvelle, age 73, passed away on January 15, 2026, at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center. He was born on October 25, 1952, in Pineville, Louisiana and was a longtime resident of Washington, La.
Funeral Services for Lambert Courvelle will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, in the Skip Montet Memorial Chapel at Lafond Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas, Louisiana. Deacon Dwayne Joubert will officiate the services. Rite of Committal and burial will be held in the Bellevue Memorial Park Mausoleum in Opelousas.
Visitation will begin on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. in the Skip Montet Memorial Chapel at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas. A Rosary will be recited at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral Home.
For many years, Lambert devoted his career to the family business at Courvelle Toyota where he worked as a salesman. He started his career as a teenager and worked until his retirement.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Charlotte Quirk Courvelle; his brother, Aaron Bernard "A.B." Courvelle, Jr. and his wife, Janis; and his sister, Emily Courvelle. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Judith A. Quirk, Mary E. Quirk, and Cathy Quirk, as well as a host of nieces and nephews who loved him fondly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Aaron Bernard “A.B.” Courvelle, Sr. and Maryina Thibodeaux Courvelle; his brothers, Phillip Joseph Courvelle, Sr. and Amar Courvelle; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joseph Atwood Quirk and Merilynn McKinney Quirk and two brothers-in-law, William Steinberg, Jr. and Nick Sylvester.
