Patrick Allen Daily, a man whose adventurous spirit and gift for connection enriched the lives of all who knew him, passed away unexpectedly on November 6th, 2025, at the home of his eldest son, Patrick Michael Daily, in Grapevine, Texas. He was 69.
Born in San Andreas, California, on November 3rd, 1956, Patrick was the youngest of four sons—Richard, Glen, Dennis, and Patrick—to Donald Alvin and Emily Elizabeth Daily. His early life was marked by profound loss when, in 1964, he faced the passing of his father and older brother Glen within an eight-month span. Raised by his devoted single mother and looked after by his two surviving older brothers, Patrick grew up playing sports, including Pop Warner football, basketball, and baseball, forming the resilience and competitive spirit he carried throughout his life.
Patrick developed a lifelong love for the outdoors and possessed an insatiable hunger for adventure. He was perpetually eager to see new places, meet new people, and understand how their stories intersected with his own—which, in Patrick's world, they almost always did. Every stranger was a new opportunity for a shared memory: Had they ever been to Redding? Worked in Alaska? Gone to college in Chico? He had a remarkable talent for finding common ground, forging a link, and proving that the world was much smaller and more connected than people thought.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, curiosity, and boundless charm.
Patrick is survived by his loving brother Dennis and sister-in-law Carolyn; his two devoted sons, Patrick and Jesse; his daughter-in-law Jamie; and his beloved granddaughters, Layla and Winnie.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Richard (who passed away in March of 2006) and Glen.
