He was born in Harrisburg, IL on May 18, 1953 the son of Kenneth & Syble (Milburn) Dempsey.
He married Kay (Midkiff) on April 7, 2007.
Mr. Dempsey was a dedicated Miner. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Jennifer Tucker & husband Kenny of Perryville, MO
Sarah Kelly of Christopher
2 Step-Daughters:
Amanda Skobel & husband Tony of Whittington
Leah Clem & husband Nathan of Clarksville, TN
11 Grandchildren: Drake, Ariana, Doug, Laird, Londyn, Nadia, Emma, Noah, Kaden, Jayce, Sawyer
1 Great-Granddaughter: Rori
2 Sisters:
Connie Morris & husband Ray of Benton
Janet Morris & husband John of Galatia
Mr. Dempsey was preceded in death by his Parents and 2 Nephews-Shannnon Morris & Lucas Morris.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 P. M. on Friday, January 9th at the Morton & Johnston Funeral Home in Benton with Pastor Jeff Owens officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 P. M. to 2:00 P. M. on Friday at the funeral home.
