It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Patrick "Pat" Dolan, a beloved son, brother, and partner, who left us on February 21, 2026. Born on November 20, 1965, in Mescalero, NM, Pat was a member of the Mescalero Apache Tribe and was known for his warm spirit and zest for life.
Pat had a deep appreciation for the outdoors, often found hiking and fishing in the beautiful mountainside he loved. At heart an artist, Pat enjoyed expressing himself through drawing and often entertained friends and family with his vibrant air drumming and air guitar performances. His favorite music-classic rock favorites like AC/DC, Pink Floyd, and Cheap Trick-echoed through his home and brought him joy.
His laughter was contagious, and he had a way of lighting up any room he entered. Pat was a lover of learning and could often be seen with a National Geographic magazine in hand, eagerly absorbing the wonders of the world. He cherished his ties to family, holding a special place in his heart for his nieces and nephews, who brought him immense joy.
Pat is survived by his beloved life partner of 14 years, Karen Thomas; his sisters, Cheryl Kayitah and Sylvia Zap; and his brothers, Fabian Jr., Adrian, and Francis Dolan. His spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Visitation will be at LaGrone Funeral Chapel on February 26, 2026, from 2:00 - 4:00 PM. Funeral services will be held in his honor at St. Joseph Apache Mission in Mescalero, NM. A Rosary will take place on Friday, February 27, 2026, at 9:00 AM, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM.
Rest in peace, Pat. You will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
