Patrick Joseph Edwards, 63 of Indianapolis, passed away October 15, 2017. He was born February 11, 1954 in Beech Grove, IN to Irvin W., Sr. and Mary L. Edwards. He graduated from Manual High School and then received a Masters of Chemistry degree from IUPUI. He worked many years doing research for IU Medical Center and retired from Eli Lilly as a Peptide Chemist. His loves included astronomy, American history, reading, and writing poetry. He was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church.
Patrick is preceded in death by his parents. Surviving to cherish his memory are his daughter, Emily Ann Edwards, brothers, Irvin W. (Karen) Edwards, Jr., Michael Anthony (Colleen) Edwards, sister, Mary Therese Edwards, Niece, Kathy Jane (Michael) Pine and great-niece, Shelby Pine. Friends may visit with his family from 9 AM until Mass at 11 AM Friday, October 20, 2017 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 2905 Carson Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46203.
Arrangements with Flanner Buchanan – Floral Park, Indianapolis. Contributions may be made in Patrick's memory to Good Shepherd Catholic Church.
