Patrick Joseph Gallagher Sr
Patrick Joseph Gallagher, Sr., age 86, of Harborcreek, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2024. He was born in North East on September 9, 1937, son of the late Charles D. and Mary La Que Gallagher.
Patrick graduated from St. Gregory High School in North East in 1956, then went on to earn an Electrical Engineering Degree from Gannon University in 1960. He worked his entire 40+ year career at the Electric Materials Company in North East, where he held various roles in the Engineering organization. Patrick enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, traveling the United States with his wife, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Patrick is survived by four children, Sheila Beck of Hubbard, OH, Shawn Gallagher (Michele) of Erie, Sharon Gallagher (Andrew) of Erie and Sheri Lilli (Mark) of Portland, OR; three sisters, Loretta Roder of OH, Cornelia Dusckas of FL and Mary Ann Gallagher of WV; two brothers, Charles Gallagher of AL and Michael Gallagher of PA; and eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Patrick was preceded in death by his wife, Carol F. Gallagher; one son, Patrick J. Gallagher, Jr.; one granddaughter, Angela Beck; and one brother, Timothy Gallagher.
Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at St. James R.C. Church, 2635 Buffalo Road, on Friday, May 10th at 10:30 am. The Mass will be livestreamed and can be viewed at www.saintjamesrcc.org. A private interment will be held at St. Gregory Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. James School.
