Born April 2, 1974 in Alton, he was the son of Ricky Steven Gillson and Linda Sue (Dirickson) Kraut.
He had been a self-employed delivery driver and was a loyal KSHE-95 listener.
Surviving are a long-time companion, Misty Stone; son, Tyler Gillson of Orlando, FL; brother, Travis Gillson of Godfrey; half-brothers, Quentin Gillson, Nathan Gillson; and half-sisters, Ashley Dudley, Dawn Gillson, and Jasmine Gillson.
Cremation rites were accorded.
