Patrick Jackson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Branford Dawson Funeral Home Inc. - Temple on Jan. 7, 2026.
Patrick Wayne Jackson, 69, of Oakville, Texas, passed away on December 25, 2025, in Temple, Texas. Patrick was born on August 15, 1956, in Orange, Texas, to Olan Jackson and Mavouryne L. Jackson. He spent his life rooted in Texas, where he built both a livelihood and a reputation for quiet reliability. A longtime member of the Oakville community, Patrick was known as someone others could depend on - the person friends called when they needed help, always steady and willing to show up.
He is survived by his daughters, Jessica Jackson and Rachel Jackson; his granddaughter, Remy Beaudin, who brought him immense joy and pride; and his siblings, Ronald Jackson; Michael Jackson and his wife Elaine; Lane Ellis and her husband Mark; and Janita Jackson, wife of his late brother Jerry Jackson, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Olan and Mavouryne Jackson; his sister, Olana Jackson; and his brother, Gerald "Jerry" Jackson, and his best friend, Debra Trbula.
Patrick was a co-owner of Jackson Medical and Jackson Healthcare in Temple, Texas, alongside his four siblings from 1976 through 1999. The family business was founded by his parents and operated for more than two decades before being sold in 1999.
Patrick was an accomplished carpenter and journeyman with a natural talent for woodworking. His craftsmanship was widely respected, and he was often commissioned to build pieces for others in his community. His work was not only functional, but beautiful, reflecting both patience and pride in his craft. He was known for his dry humor and love of a good dad joke. He was stoic by nature, never one to complain or speak without purpose. Though not outwardly emotional, his love for his family, especially his daughters and his granddaughter, was unmistakable. Being Remy's "Papa" was his greatest source of pride.
Patrick enjoyed the steady routines of everyday life, work that kept his hands busy and time spent at home. He lived simply, worked hard, and loved his family deeply. He will be remembered for his integrity, quiet strength, and love of laughter.
