Patrick William Peter Jardin, 42, of Sylvania, Ohio, unexpectedly passed away on Friday, November 14th, 2025.

Born April 26, 1983, in Toledo, Ohio. Patrick was a loving and devoted father, son, brother, uncle and cherished friend to many. He was a graduate of St. Francis DeSales High School where he played soccer and ran cross country. He attended the University of Toledo and Lourdes College. Patrick was a successful small business owner of Jardin Pool Company for over 20 years. He could frequently be seen driving his red work truck, aptly named "The Red Dragon" around town. Patrick was beloved by his customers; many he had worked with from the inception of his company.

Patrick frequently enjoyed spending time with family at the Jardin family cottage on Devils Lake. Additionally, Patrick was a lover of history (with an extensive knowledge of the Civil War), enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, playing chess and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Cadie Jardin; children, William, Alice and James Jardin; his parents, Dr. Ronald and Patricia Jardin; his loving aunt, Colleen Goergen; his brother, Josh (Angela) Jardin; his sister, Louisa (Dean)Cook; his in-laws, Rick and Terrie Knight; his sister-in-law, Amy (Ryan) Hennessy; nephews, Ro Jardin, Owen Hennessy, Leo Hennessy and nieces, Ariana Jardin, Eleanor Cook and Margaret Cook. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Daniel Bergan and maternal and paternal grandparents. Patrick will be greeted at the Rainbow Bridge by his loyal companions Buster Brown and Duke (aka Dukesters).

While Patrick's death leaves us with deep sorrow and a struggle for understanding, his family takes great comfort in his memories. Known for his quick wit and sense of humor, he was not one to mince his words. Patrick's greatest joy in life was his 3 children who he loved and adored beyond measure. Patrick loved watching his son William play soccer and participate in Cub Scouts. He enjoyed watching his daughter Alice play soccer, dance and was quite proud of her budding author skills. He spent much of his time playing with and chasing after Baby James.

He married the love of his life Cadie in 2013 and shared an unconditional and unwavering bond. Patrick openly shared that he had fallen in love with Cadie the very moment he laid his eyes upon her. Patrick's life was a testament to love, humility, hard work, loyalty and humor.

A visitation will be held at Ansberg-West Funeral Home, 3000 W. Sylvania Ave, Toledo, Ohio 43613 on Sunday, November 23rd, 2025, from 12:00pm to 6:00pm with a prayer service beginning at 5:00pm. There will be a private family funeral service and interment on Monday, November 24th, 2025. The family would like to invite all who can attend to a public celebration of life luncheon on Monday, November 24th, 2025, with details to be announced at the visitation. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Patrick's memory to The Lucas County Suicide Prevention Coalition or a local mental health organization of your choosing.
