Funeral Services for Patrick Kimbro, 71, of Albuquerque, NM are pending with Stevenson Funeral Home.
Patrick Albert Kimbro passed on March 3 at 1:07 am after a brief battle with cancer.
He was born on September 23, 1953 in Dickinson, North Dakota. He grew up in New England, North Dakota graduating from New England Public High School in 1971. Summers were spent on his uncle Les Connell’s ranch north of Medora, North Dakota.
After high school he came to Albuquerque, New Mexico and worked at a cabinet shop, eventually becoming a sought after contractor for many development projects primarily in New Mexico and other southwestern states.
On November 6, 1999, he married Delores Clark. Together they grew KIMCON construction company. In later years, he developed a passion for biking usually ending his work day with a lengthy bike ride.
Pat leaves behind Delores, his wife of 25 years, two daughters Jenny Romero and Rachel Brown (Forest Wilson), and three sons Josh Clark, Andrew (Amanda) Gatewood and Matthew Gatewood.
An avid skier, some of his fondest memories were teaching his grandchildren how to ski at Taos, NM. Grandchildren are Zabiela Lovato, Azaryah Romero, Hannah (Derek) Scott, Forest Wilson Jr.,Taylor Clark, Max Gatewood, and great grandson Jacob Scott.
He also leaves behind two brothers, Mike (Terry Kelley) Kimbro and Tom (Sandy) Nelson, one sister Linda Nelson (Alan) Butts, one brother-in-law Paul St.Clair and one sister-in-law LaVerna Nelson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Laura and Albert Kimbro, a brother, Sonny Clare, a sister, Veronta St. Clair and a brother, Morris Nelson.
