Patrick J. Lamz

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Patrick J. Lamz on January 29, 2026, at the age of 70. He was born on May 15, 1955, in Woodstock, IL. He met his soulmate, Cherie, and married her on December 10, 1988, in Woodstock, IL, creating a partnership that was a true testament to love and companionship over the 37 years they shared together.

After graduating from Marian Central High School in 1974, Pat dedicated over 30 years to his work as a truck driver for Horizon Cartage. He took great pride in his work. Pat was a loyal fan of his Chicago sports teams, the Bears, Cubs, Blackhawks, and Bulls. Pat loved his family. He took immense joy in being a husband, father, and grandfather. He cherished being able to spend time and watch his grandkids. Pat was also known for his sweet tooth; for his love of all things chocolate and his beloved "skin pudding." The recipe, filled with laughter, will forever be a cherished memory passed down through generations.

Pat is survived by his wife: Cherie Lamz; his children: Ray (Courtney) Rosario, Stephanie Rosario, and Patrick (Jennifer) Lamz; his grandchildren: Amiah, Makayla, Savannah, Brock, and Hudson; his brothers: Michael (Debra) Lamz and Tim (Tibby) Lamz; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Pat was preceded in death by his parents: Robert and Catherine (Hobbs) Lamz; and his brother: Terry Lamz.

A celebration of Pat's life will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Colonial Funeral Home in McHenry, IL from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Prayer Service and time to share memories will begin at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel.
