Frank Mucciante Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Colonial Funeral Home & Crematory on Jan. 27, 2026.
Frank Anthony Mucciante passed away on Sunday January 25, 2026. He was born in Chicago, IL to parents Frank and Della Mucciante.

Frank was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and a loyal friend whose life was defined by love, family, and the simple joys that meant the most to him.

He shared a beautiful 60 years of marriage with the love of his life Sandra (Roccoforte), a partnership built on devotion, laughter, and unwavering support. Together, they created a home filled with warmth and memories that will be cherished forever.

A lifelong Chicago sports fan, he cheered faithfully for all Chicago teams, never missing a chance to root them on. He also had a soft spot for black Labrador retrievers, who held a special place in his heart.

He enjoyed many hobbies over the years, especially metal detecting and fishing, often alongside his favorite uncle "Big Joe". In his younger years, he loved hunting pheasants with his loyal Labrador, Smokey, creating memories that stayed with him for a lifetime.

An admirer of classic cars, Frank found great joy attending car shows and spending time with friends who shared his passion. His favorite was the iconic 1955 Chevy, and he owned several over the years. His last classic car was a 1950 Ford, which held a special place among his prized possessions.

He was also known for his love of good food, especially spaghetti and meatballs with red gravy; a meal that often brought family and friends together around the table.

Frank will be remembered for his loyalty, kindness, and the deep love he had for those around him. His legacy lives on through his family, his friendships, and the countless memories he leaves behind.

Frank is survived by his wife Sandra Mucciante, his sons, Anthony Mucciante and David (Ann) Mucciante, his grandsons, Nicholas, Thomas, and Joseph, and his brother Pat (Carol) Mucciante who reside in Florida.

He is preceded in death by both of his parents and his Uncle Joe Ruskey.
