Patrick David Laury, age 79, of Bella Vista passed Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Circle of Life Hospice House in Bentonville. He was born May 11, 1944 in St. Louis, Missouri, to Joseph and Hilda (Fank) Laury. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Elaine.

Pat grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, where he earned a PhD in Philosophy from St. Louis University. He and his wife, Elaine, moved to San Antonio, TX and had four children. In 1975 his wife Elaine passed away in a family car accident. A few years later, Pat moved his family to Ft. Worth, TX. Years later he met Dianne Mooty. They were married in 1997 and spent the next 26 happy years together. During his time in Texas, he worked in education, defense, and consulting for many years. In his retirement years, he volunteered for the Red Cross, the Bella Vista Recycling Center, and was a member of the Bella Vista POA board. After a prolonged struggle with ALS, Pat generously decided to donate his body to the University of Arkansas Medical School in order to further ALS research.

Patrick is survived by his wife, Dianne Laury, of Bella Vista, AR, sons Tim Laury (Jennifer) of College Station, TX, Chris Laury (Carol) of Fayetteville, AR, Jeff Laury of Fort Worth, TX, and Matt Mooty (Brooke) of Fort Worth, TX, daughters Jennifer Hauss (Nick) of Haslett, TX, Merridith Butterweck of Argyle, TX, Anna Young (Harley) of Westminster, CO, three sisters, and 18 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

A memorial service to celebrate Pat's life will be held at Mildred B. Cooper Chapel in Bella Vista on Thursday, September 28th at 12:30pm. Please join the family at Kingsdale Pavilion at 5:00 p.m. to share stories and toast Pat's life
