Patrick Robert "Bob" Lynch, 76, of Rockport, Indiana died due to natural causes on Thursday, September 10, 2009 at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born in Huntingburg, Indiana on April 25, 1933 to the late Oscar Frank and Elenora Lynch. He was self-employed as a certified public accountant at Lynch Tax Service and was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church. A veteran of the Korean Conflict, he served in the U.S. Navy from 1955-57 in the Naval Hospital Corp and received the Good Conduct medal. He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Rybacki Lynch; four daughters, Nancy Jean Battreal of Hartford, KY, Edith & Glynn Coltharp of Plano, TX, Julieanna & Sam Clark of Texas and Tammy Lynch of Kentucky; four sons, Bruce & Cheryl Battreal of Utica, KY, Lance Battreal of Rockport, IN, Glennon & Tina Battreal of Owensboro and Cornell & Lynn Battreal of Winston, GA. He was grandfather to eleven grandchildren, Crystal Roark, Glen Battreal, Jr., Julieanne Fulkerson, Rodney Coltharp, Lenny "Chipper" Battreal, Matthew Battreal, Ben Battreal, Jeremy Battreal, Cecilia Johnson, Ciara Johnson, Aerreadnea Fulkerson and great grandfather to nine. Services are at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 14, 2009 at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Rockport, Indiana. Burial will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO. Visitation is from 3:00-8:00 p.m. on Saturday, from 2:00-6:00 p.m. on Sunday at James H. Davis Funeral Home where prayers will be said at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Patrick Lynch Memorial Fund, 3009 Frederica St., Owensboro, KY 42301.
