In Loving Memory of Patrick "Pat" Mancillas
June 23, 1941 – July 11, 2025
Patrick "Pat" Mancillas of Fresno, California, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2025, at the age of 84.
Born on June 23, 1941, in Fresno, Pat was a lifelong resident who proudly graduated from Edison High School. His commitment to his alma mater remained strong throughout his life, as he continued to support and stay connected to the Edison community long after graduation.
Pat was known by many as a man with a heart for helping others. If someone had a need, Pat did everything in his power to meet it, often without hesitation or expectation. His generosity and servant's heart were a reflection of his deep faith in Jesus Christ, which shaped every aspect of his life. Whether organizing food drives on Fresno's Westside, ministering to the hurting, or simply offering a kind word, Pat truly embodied what it means to be the hands and feet of the Lord.
He had a deep love for his family, his faith, and a few favorite pastimes that brought him joy, cheering on the 49ers, listening to '50s music, collecting memorabilia, and working on old cars, especially his cherished 1946 Chevy.
No matter where he went, a restaurant, swap meet, outreach event, or grocery store, Pat seemed to know someone, and if he didn't, he would make it a point to connect. He never met a stranger, only friends he hadn't made yet.
Pat was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Suzie Mancillas. He is survived by his sons, Patrick John Mancillas and Philip Mancillas, and his grandson, Luke Mancillas. He also held a special place in his heart for the many grandchildren who lovingly knew him as Grandpa: Brandy, Sabrina, Jordan, Destiny, Kiana, Xavier "Max," Zander, Zoe, and Esme.
His presence will be deeply missed, but his example and the lives he touched will continue to speak of the kindness and faith that defined him.
