Patrick Maney Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Wm. J. Rockefeller Funeral Home, Inc. - Rensselaer on Aug. 22, 2023.
Saratoga Springs - Patrick T. "Pat" Maney, 80, of Saratoga Springs died last Thursday at Saratoga Hospital after a brief illness. His family was by his side when he passed.
He was born in Schenectady on September 17, 1942, the son of Patrick Henry Maney and Amelia "Emily" Marinack.
Pat grew up in Steinmetz Homes and graduated from Mont Pleasant High School in 1960. He met the love of his life in high school, the then-16-year-old Antoinette Servidone, and spent nearly 65 years by her side. Pat was an All-County football player and the quarterback of the football team, displaying athleticism that would eventually earn him a full scholarship to the College of Holy Cross. He subsequently graduated from Albany Law School.
Pat's professional achievements were many. He was a founding partner of Maney, McConville, Liccardi Law Firm in East Greenbush, and served as partner there his entire life (now known as Maney & Powis). He was also a professor at Hudson Valley Community College for 30 years. His interests were golf, cigars, scotch, the New York Giants, and, most dear to him, being around family and friends. Wherever he was, whether on the golf course, at a social event, traveling, or in his home, Pat was the consummate raconteur. He could always be found telling one of his stories, with a wink and an infectious laugh.
He was a long-standing member of the East Greenbush Elks Club and Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Antoinette Servidone Maney, two sons Anthony Maney (Donielle) and PT Maney, and his sister Kathy Leader.
He is also survived by his granddaughter Paris Maney (Arthur Adamiak), grandsons Austin Maney (Hayley), Anthony (AJ) Maney II and Patrick (Tommy) Thomas Maney III, along with his three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He is also predeceased by granddaughter Grace A. Maney.
A private service will be held and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

I´ll remember Mr. Maney and his wife at all our company picnics and celebrations at TAG. He was such a great Dad and supporter of his sons! I lost my father 9 months ago and it is sad and my father didn´t hold a candle to Pops! I hope you all can enjoy your memories of such a great man!
